Hi from Michigan. Just got this blog info after returning from our place in Boyne City. I live in Marysville now, have three step children, a one year old granddaughter and a 6 year old grandson who lives in Florida. I missed the 45th reunion - our older son's wedding reception was that day. I am looking forward to the 50th. Hope that some of you who haven't made others can come to the 50th.
This is a great idea that Gary put together. Leave it to the "quiet one???" And, yes, Gary, I do remember you from band.

Wow...Our Own Website!
Seasons Greetings from Aurora, Colorado,
A little geography to start off. Aurora sits west of the eastern plains of Colorado and abuts Denver on Denver's eastern boundry. The slogan for Aurora is: "Gateway to the Rockies".
I really enjoyed the 45 year class reunion. So good to see old friends and acquaintances and meet new people, too.
That was my first trip back since 1963. How things have changed! The house I lived in is gone and there is a big office building in its place. The open field across from where I lived is now Westfield at Franklin Park Shopping Mall. I used to ride my horse in the Stranahan woods and that is now Wildwood Park Preserve. I really liked how that has been done and can be enjoyed by everyone. I highly recommend it if you've never been there. The tour of the Stranahan Manor House is also very interesting.
Gary, you were a man on a mission to get a blog space for our class and you "done good". I think this could be a great place for people to keep in touch.
We have a white winter wonderland here for the holidays. Hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season.

Great Start!
Hi, Gary and fellow classmates!
This is a great site to be able to communicate with classmates. Many times I have wondered how others are doing since graduating.
For myself, am married, two children, three grandchildren and live and still work in the Toledo area. In the future may move to Columbus to be near grandchildren. So, this site would be a great communication tool for distant classmates.
Paul Sneider - "machine shop" guy.

I think I'm in on the ground floor with this -so amazing to me and so unlike me to be so close to the start of something new.
Gary, I was at the reunion and I remember you well. You think you were quiet? I didn't think you were that quiet I was though. I think I'm remembered because of the L O N G last name! I had been in touch with classmates upon my return to Ohio but it took the 45th reunion to get me back into the fold completely. It was so good to see so many I remembered but then sad too to find so many gone.
I enjoyed the site of the reunion and the food was very good. Music on Friday was so much better then Saturday night. My thoughts are that it was hard to circulate to get around to see all the attendees. With the number of people there it was difficult to move around the room and talk to everyone you wanted to while you followed the time schedule for the evening. I know that setting up a weekend of activities takes more planning and is more costly and that there are good and bad thaoughts about it. Then too it could be that I wanted to talk to everyone since it has been 46 years since I saw most of them. I'll have to see how the next reunion goes and how many I actually talk to throught the event.
I'm sorry to hear about losing another classmate. But as we age it will be a normal, usual happening to us all.
